Junior Staff (jstaff) are newer members of the Backrooms Wiki staff. They contribute to moderation and help out with wiki-wide projects, but do not make large decisions on their own and are usually not trusted with administrative site permissions (though they can be given moderation site permissions in some circumstances).

When looking at usernames on the wiki or on the server, you'll be able to tell apart mods from their yellow names!

• Vote on decisions such as staff applications and changes to the wiki.
• Moderate and preside over chat and bring all necessary incidents to staff attention via the proper channels.
• Suggest changes or improvements to the site for discussion among staff.
• Provide input on projects such as rewrites of official pages and policy updates.
• Learn and exercise judgement in which incidents require staff attention and which do not. (When in doubt, ask: Does this break a rule? If not, is it hurting or bothering anyone?)

• Manage user roles
• Moderate user nicknames e.g. for pingability
• Keep an eye on chat, calm things down if needs be
