Domain – My dear friend Bob had sent word of The Consortium's newly discovered realm, denominated "The Electric Labyrinth". It seemed to be one of those modern marvels the likes of which I will not feign understanding, though the prospect of a new realm with untold curiosities piqued my interest. We met in the Grand Metropolis before leaving for the newfound realm.
Our arrival was announced by the discordant thrum and hiss of the corridors' boilerworks. The realm is formed of narrow passages adorned by the patchwork trappings of modern industry. Ever focused, Bob almost immediately began his seemingly well practiced tour. The air was thick with a tepid humidity as we made our way through the many halls and compartments.
I will not lie, I found the glare of the incandescence to be quite irritating when viewed closely, but the convenience of its illumination could not be overstated. Though by contrast the unlit segments felt all the more uncanny as a result.
It was nearly three hours later that we had our unfortunate encounter with the Burster…
Bobs point of view when meeting up with Ezekiel, can maybe get a physical description of our boi. Could be good to introduce the idea that Ezekiel doesn't age normally and looks the same despite many years passing between their last encounter. (Ik hes supposed to tell him about 3 but maybe the got some 1890s mail folks in this backrooms lol)
Bob is waiting in, like, a restaurant or something. Maybe a tavern for the vibes. Dunno. Bob ages normally so for him it's kind of like a nostalgia thing, returning to a place he'd met Ezekiel before, years ago. He didn't want to just meet Ezekiel on Level 3 because he thinks they'd better get catching up out of the way before they enter a dangerous zone. That or he thinks — based off of outdated information — that Ezekiel couldn't handle the level without him? Maybe Ezekiel used to be much less of a survivalist. So then Bob is surprised that not only does Ezekiel look exactly the same, but that's a major contrast with how much he's matured in the last (decade?? something like that).
They talk for a bit about Ezekiel's many adventures. I don't think Bob feels like mentioning Zeek hasn't aged either because he's jealous or because he thinks it rude.
When Ezekiel asks Bob what he's been up to, though… he can't really say. His eccentric panache sort of folds as he explains he's been doing basically nothing, I mean, compared to what Ezekiel's been up to…
Oh but fuck he does need to have something going on so he has something to lose. Uhhh the reason why he hasn't been doing any of that cool exploring shit is that he's hunkered down to raise a backrooms orphan (son, you haven't touched your worms!!) and he doesn't want to fuck the child up.
Where's the child right now? Well, he's 8 years old. To Bob, that's old enough to be left unsupervised at home, apparently. He shrugs it off. Probably doesn't seem weird to Ezekiel, it's a regular old timey attitude.
Okay but actually maybe the child is dead or something? I think Bob's demeanor should be covering up for something. So maybe he's covering up for that he's lost the kid, probably due to his lax position on supervision. He's kind of in denial though, like daww that scamp, he'll be back soon enough… :-( no he wont
-> and that's the reason he's so reckless with the bursters and sacrifices himself in the end. Deep down he knows he doesn't actually have that dependent anymore.
So then Ezekiel probably goes to Bob's home to find the kid, and either literally finds he's dead (that's a creepy ending but really besides the point of this story) or just finds an empty house.
Okay I guess that's a multi layered character

description
Maybe this can show that bob might be a little arrogant in his understanding of the lvl and he dismisses the burster they run into as a non threat. all the ones he has seen just lay there and he never got close enough to be busted on. Begins to approach it to kinda show off after Ezekiel tells him to be careful.
Demeanor –
This covers the encounter, bursting, and chase from Ezekiels perspective. They end up in room behind bars.
The Affliction –
Ezekiels documentation of the burst effects on bob, lies and says that bob dies from shock (like they say in the og article).
Bobs pov of how the infection, Ezekiel is trying to remain calm and comfort him that it will be alright but his composure is faltering and bob can suspect what will happen.
Proper Conduct –
Maybe a brief summary about avoiding them and how to get away from them if caught
Bob isn't dead yet (holy shit plot twist!?!?!??!?!?!?!) but is able to convince Ezekiel to use him as a distraction for the burster so Ezekiel can escape.
